Let’s begin the week with positivity.

Wake up every morning knowing that you are blessed to continue doing what you love.

Let go of anything that doesn’t make you happy.

Show gratitude for what you already have.

Say words of affirmation every day to keep the positivity flowing.

You can choose yourself, and you can choose to be happy. I wake up every day with a feeling of joy, knowing that I have been blessed and that I have made it through many difficult times in my life. I don’t have to pretend to be happy anymore. My life is made up of happiness.

The first time I heard this song, I was in the car. I was thinking about the lyrics and how it spoke to me about loving myself. Over the years, I have learned that I have to love myself on a daily basis. I have to get to know my true self and accept myself for who I am. As I learn more about myself and my self worth, it becomes more beautiful to see the difference I make when I am positive.

The Leading Lady

I was at my desk working and my music playlist was playing randomly. Guess what came up on my playlist? Sade! As I worked and admired the song that popped up on my playlist, it occurred to me that she lady has always been the star of this band from the very beginning. You never heard the men in this band ever take her talents and beautiful voice for granted. As the lead singer of this band, I know it’s not easy, especially when you’re fighting for your voice to be heard.

I’ve been a fan of this band since childhood. I always liked the way she carried herself with dignity. I knew the band was very talented and to see her singing with them is amazing. The mystique of the woman behind the band.

If only the world were more accepting of women in Information Technology, if Sade can lead, then I can lead. Each member of this team respects each other for their talents and doesn’t try to outdo each other. They all have one thing in common, which is to make great music and work as a team. This is a diverse band. I can relate being the only female on the team and making this happen.
